Toini & Bernt Rönnlund, Cross Country Skiers

Toini (Karvonen) Rönnlund was evacuated as a child from Finland to Sweden during World War II and never returned. She excelled as a Cross Country skier for the Swedish team. She won medals in the 1962 and 1966 World Championships and the 1964 and 1968 Olympics. She married Bernt Assar Rönnlund, who also was a medalist in cross country skiing in the World Championships and the Olympics.
